Young Boy and Girl Sparring in Karate
We know children need focus, discipline, confidence and respect.  Certified instructors will not only help your child in these areas but will also keep your child healthy through exercise.  Students will also improve their balance, coordination, strength and flexibility while having fun.

On days there is no class, participants can attend a makeup class or go to the Trumbull location for a makeup.

UPDATED 5/5/14: Grace Episcopal Church is no longer available.  Class on Tuesday, May 6 will be held at the Monroe Senior Center.  There is no class on Thursday, May 8.  You can attend a Tuesday as a make up or attend a class in Stratford on Mon, Wed or Fri at Franklin School, 1895 Barnum Ave or on a Saturday at Flood Middle School, 490 Chapel Street.  View class schedule at www.superiorkarate.net or contact 203.783.9768

Classes are at Monroe Elementary until June 19.  Beginning June 24 classes are at Monroe Congregational Church.

Registration
Place programs in cart and follow instructions all the way thru. You can either pay online or create a registration form and pay by check. If paying by check you must include your driver’s license number or your registration will be returned. Once we receive your check, we apply it to your online registration form. No one is registered until payment is received and applied to your online registration form. If you do not create an online registration form and come to our office for us to create one for you, an additional $10 fee will be assessed.

Payment CANNOT be brought to karate. All payment is due online or in the Parks and Rec Office prior to participation.

Family Discounts
For those registering 2 or more for karate two days per week the multi family member discount ($50) needs to be processed in our office. Please create a complete registration form by placing appropriate programs for all members in the cart, follow instructions all the way thru. At the end don't make payment but create an online registration form. Email our office (parksandrec@monroect.org) to let us know you have done so, we will adjust the price and let you know you can log back in to your account to make payment.

Refunds
Refunds must be submitted in writing. They will be prorated and $10 processing fee is withheld from each program withdrawal. The balance will be applied to your household account to use for a future program. If the refund is due to medical reasons, a full refund will be issued as long as your request is accompanied by a doctor’s note.

The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to change schedules/locations as necessary and cancel programs due to insufficient registration or lack of instructor(s).

Age appropriate verbal and physical self-defense is taught by professionals in a safe and fun environment.
