All tennis will be played at Wolfe Park.  Participants need to bring tennis racquets and water bottles.

Beginner: Player has either never held a racquet or has played sparingly without having formal instruction.
Advanced Beginner: Player has had introduction to grips & strokes, starts to make contact with ball on regular basis.
Low Intermediate: Player is starting to keep the ball in play, learning to serve, can volley, learning court positioning.
Intermediate: Player can keep bal in play consistently, can hit with some spin, can serve & rally consistently.

For the Junior Tennis Camp each participant will learn a different stroke each day.  Includes instruction on the forehand, backhand, serve and volley.  There is also an optional cross-training component to facilitate coordination as well as improve endurance.  Games such as hoccer, soccer and kickball will be played.  Match Play will be offered as an option in addition to field games.  USTA 10 and under tennis Match Play, designed for the junior player, will be played on a modified court with tennis balls designed for their specific skill level.  This will provide players with an opportunity to play "real" tennis and learn the rules of the games!  Children will receive a minimum of two hours on-court instruction each day.  Children should bring a nut free snack each day.  Wednesday is prize day! Optional pool break in the morning is also offered.
