Summer Fun Days...Playmates (full day)
This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.
This program is for children starting at age 3 entering pre-school thru 1st grade and are 100% toilet trained.
Playmates will provide fun socialization for children through a variety of learning experiences. We strive to create a happy, positive experience while building self confidence, imagination and independence.
Your child will learn and explore in and out of our classroom through structured centers, dramatic play, art, music, guided free play, educational field trips and so much more. Unlike most summer camps, we run a structured program with an educational based curriculum. Each age group will have their own classroom with experienced teachers and qualified camp counselors.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THEMES AND ACTIVITIES CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME.
Session 1 Fun and Fitness. Does your child love to be active, play, run, swim and jump? Then this is definitely the week they don't want to miss. This week is all about ways to stay healthy. We will stay active bouncing around at the local trampoline park, Rockin Jump! Throughout the week campers will make healthy treats with their counselors and end it by swimming at the Wolfe Park Pool.
Session 2 Holiday Mash-Up. This week is a mash.......a holiday mash! This week a new holiday will be celebrated every day. Get ready to wear green for St. Patrick's Day and dress up for Halloween. There will also be plenty of food, crafts and games. We will then continue to celebration at Quassy and end the week at Wolfe Park where we will swim and enjoy the playground.
Session 3 Pay It Forward. Every parent wants their child to learn and understand the meaning of giving back. This week is geared to help others and chip in where needed. We will be holding a food drive for the local food pantry and a shelter drive for animals in need. We are very excited that we will also be helping out at the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary where each and every age group has been invited to help in some way. We will then cool off with a day at the Wolfe Park pool.
Session 4 Ready, Set, Race! Let the games begin. Campers will spend the week getting ready for a battle of colors at Field Day. Smiles and laughter will continue with a fun filled visit to the Sports Center. Which team will have the shortest time in the obstacle course? Who will be the last two in the water balloon toss? We can't wait to see which team will take home the prize. There will be a break from competition at the Wolfe Park pool.
Session 5 Splish Splash. This week is sure to be a blast! Who doesn't love water games to cool off, gathering shells at the beach or swimming in the pool at Wolfe Park. Grab the sunscreen, beach shoes and a big comfy towel because your child will be playing all day in the sun at the beach.
Session 6 Mad Scientist. Every child loves to explore, create and play. Junior Einstein's will have their days filled with hands-on experiments. We will be taking a field trip to the Connecticut Science Center where everyone will be encouraged to play while learning. Make sure to send in their white t-shirt so they can make their own tye-dye shirt. Scientists will also be enjoying a day at Wolfe Park pool.
Session 7 Party In The USA. This week is everyone's favorite, it's carnival week! There will be cotton candy, sno cones, piñatas and more! A water slide, DJ and bouncy house too. Kids will be taking a trip to play laser tag and mini golf while Playmates go for a strike at duckpin bowling. Campers will also be enjoying a day at the pool.
Session 8 The Fun Is Not Over Yet. Summer may be winding down, but at Summer Fun Days we will make sure the FUN continues! Campers will be chilling out at the movies, warming up at the beach and splashing in the pool. What else do you need? The fun just keeps coming right to the last day of camp. No farewells, just SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
