This program is for children starting at age 3 entering pre-school thru 1st grade and are 100% toilet trained.
Playmates will provide fun socialization for children through a variety of learning experiences. We strive to create a happy, positive experience while building self confidence, imagination and independence. Your child will learn and explore at outdoor settings as well as in the school building we are assigned. We will have activity centers, dramatic play, art, music, guided free play, field trips and so much more. Each age group will have their own qualified camp counselors.
A weekly calendar will be sent out by the director prior to each session with specifics pertaining to the weeks theme.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THEMES AND ACTIVITIES CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME.
Session 1: Pirate Fun and Games Week
A pirate's life is in store for you at our first week of camp. You will dress and act like a pirate while we have extra swim days, games, and treasure hunt.
Session 2 Stars and Stripes Holiday Week
Celebrate the USA with our 2nd Annual All American hot dog cookout. Make sure you go all out wearing red, white, and blue, stars and stripes.
Session 3 Super Hero Week
What superpower do you have? Have you helped others around you? During this week we embrace the greatness within. An ice cream party with some of Monroe's heroes from the police and fire departments to visit the campers is planned.
Session 4 The Greatest Show Week
Circus theme fun awaits.
Session 5 Team Spirit Week
Hey now, you're an all star and we are getting our games on! Field Day games, Color Wars, Water Olympics plus a pizza party.
Session 6 Animal Planet Week
Paws, fins, and wings. This week we will be making dog toys for the local shelter and have some special visitors.
Session 7 Be a Character Week
Who could you be? Anyone you want at SFD Camp. We will have a Halloween Day, Disney Day, Piñata Party, and a visit from special characters to make it extra fun.
Session 8 Shake, Rattle, and Roll Week
Finish out the summer with some fun with a last blast. A DJ dance party is planned.
YOU MUST DOWNLOAD AND SUBMIT (parksandrec@monroect.org) ALL PAPERWORK BELOW IN ADDITIONAL FILES. IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE THIS YOUR CHILD CANNOT ATTEND CAMP. Please note that the credit card authorization form is not needed if you have already paid online.
WHAT TO BRING
Your child should wear his/her camp shirt, sneakers and comfortable clothes to explore and get messy with. Do not send your child in sandals/open toed shoes! On water days, he/she should bring a bathing suit and towel. Please put sunscreen on your child in the morning before camp. Your child should bring a refillable water bottle, snack, and lunch with suitable food for travel. Other than that, they should not bring toys from home, specifically video games. Counselors may ask children to bring in various materials for projects that are going on for special events.
Registration
Place programs in cart and follow instructions all the way thru. You can either pay online or create a registration form and pay by check. If paying by check you must include your driver’s license number or your registration will be returned. Once we receive your check, we apply it to your online registration form. No one is registered until payment is received and applied to your online registration form. If you do not create an online registration form and come to our office for us to create one for you, an additional $10 fee will be assessed.
Cancellations
Requests must be submitted in writing. They will be prorated and $10 processing fee is withheld from each program withdrawal. The balance will be applied to your household account to use for a future program. If the refund is due to medical reasons, a full refund will be issued as long as your request is accompanied by a doctor’s note. If the Parks and Recreation Department cancels a program a full refund will be issued.
The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to change schedules/locations as necessary and cancel programs due to insufficient registration or lack of instructor(s).
Refunds will not be issued if a theme or activity changes

MULTI CHILD
Onetime discounts will be offered as follows:
$50 to those who have two or more children registered for camp for two weeks or more.
In this instance you need to create a registration form by placing appropriate session(s) for all members in the cart, follow instructions all the way thru. At the end don't make payment but create an online registration form. Email our office (parksandrec@monroect.org) to let us know you have done so and also fill out and send a credit card authorization form (found below in the FORMS section), we will adjust the price and process payment.
